Ways & Means Republicans to Take Part in APEC Caucus News ConferenceThe Congressional Caucus for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation will kick off the 111th Congress with a news conference on Wednesday. Ways & Means Members Kevin Brady (R-TX) and Wally Herger (R-CA), the current and former Trade Subcommittee Ranking Members respectively, will participate in the news conference. The APEC Caucus will be working with APEC officials and interested stakeholders on numerous issues affecting U.S. interests in the Asia-Pacific region. During the course of the year, the Caucus plans to meet regularly with policymakers, political leaders, academics, and business leaders on such issues as trade, energy, finance and investment, climate change, agriculture, intellectual property rights, food safety, and corporate social responsibility.
