WASHINGTON – The top Republican on the House Ways and Means Committee Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement as he announced the Subcommittee Republican Leaders and Subcommittee assignments for Republican Members of the Committee for the 117th Congress:

“Our caucus is ready to stop radical ideas that kill jobs and fight for policies that lift up all Americans. With these Subcommittee Republican Leaders and our membership in place, we will crush this virus and help workers, families, and small businesses rebuild the greatest economy in world history,” Leader Brady said. 

“America’s economy reached record heights thanks to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. I look forward to continuing my work with Ranking Member Brady and all my Ways and Means colleagues to defend left-wing attacks against this historic tax relief for all Americans as we continue the important work of reopening and rebuilding our economy,” Subcommittee Leader Adrian Smith said.

 “I look forward to promoting fair trade policies that help American workers and businesses," Buchanan said. "Leveling the playing field for Florida and the rest of the nation as well as increasing access to foreign markets is critical to growing the U.S. economy and creating good-paying jobs,” Subcommittee Leader Vern Buchanan said.

”Under Ranking Member Brady’s leadership, Ways and Means Republicans will continue fighting to replace destructive Obamacare policies with solutions that provide Americans with better care at lower prices, expand choice in the marketplace, and protect those with pre-existing conditions,” Subcommittee Leader Devin Nunes said.
